What It Does

Olaplex No. 1 Bond Multiplier is the most concentrated form of Olaplex's patented Bond Building Technology® and the original product that started a revolution in professional hair care. This professional-only treatment is the first step of Olaplex's iconic two-part in-salon system, always used before or during chemical services and followed by No. 2 Bond Perfector. Added directly into colour, lightener, or chemical service formulas, No. 1 actively seeks out and begins relinking broken disulfide bonds inside the hair cortex as the service is processed — turning every colour, bleach, perm, or relaxer appointment into a simultaneous repair service. The result: stronger, softer, more resilient hair immediately after chemical services, with dramatically less breakage and damage.

Who It's For

Essential for stylists who want to deliver stronger, healthier hair alongside every chemical service. Particularly important for clients with fine, fragile, or heavily damaged hair, or anyone undergoing multiple chemical processes in one appointment.

How To Use

Add No. 1 Bond Multiplier directly into your mixed lightener, hair colour, or chemical service formula following the included mixing ratio chart. No changes to your existing formula measurements are required. Process as normal. After rinsing the service, immediately follow with Olaplex No. 2 Bond Perfector to complete the repair cycle. Do not skip No. 2 — it is required to complete and lock in bond repair.

For a standalone Bond Treatment: Mix No. 1 with water and apply to dry or damp hair. Allow to process up to 10 minutes. Apply No. 2 directly on top and allow to sit for a minimum of 5 minutes. Rinse, then shampoo and condition with No. 4 and No. 5.
